Thermography and Wood: A Partnership Between Research and Industry Has Been Formed
A meeting held in Borgo San Dalmazzo on 1 September highlighted growing interest in the use of thermography for wood analysis. The event brought together researchers from the Polytechnic University of Turin, the local company Brondello Erminio S.A.S., and representatives of public institutions and organizations connected to the forestry and wood sectors.
The joint project combines Brondello Erminio’s practical expertise in wood processing with the scientific knowledge and advanced technologies of the Polytechnic University of Turin.
Supported by the Municipality of Borgo San Dalmazzo, the initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability, improved forest management and greater energy efficiency throughout the wood supply chain. Representatives from Confartigianato Cuneo, CAN, PEFC and UNCEM also attended the event, emphasizing the importance of stronger cooperation among research institutions, businesses and local communities.
